Capitol Hill Veteran to Join Newly Named Firm Bartlett, Bendall & Kadesh, LLC Mark Kadesh Brings Wide Ranging Experience to Firm

Washington, DC--  The government consulting firm Bartlett, Bendall & Kadesh, LLC today announced that Capitol Hill veteran Mark Kadesh will join as a partner as of December 7th.  Kadesh, currently the Chief of Staff for Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), brings with him 16 years of Congressional experience, including seven in his most recent position.  The firm's name will also change (formerly known as Bartlett & Bendall, LLC) to reflect his addition to the firm.

"We welcome Mark to our team and look forward to his leadership on a variety of issues," said Jennifer Bendall, founder of the firm. "At a time when the leadership on Capitol Hill is changing hands, Mark's experience and knowledge of the new agenda will be pivotal to our practice in the coming months."

Kadesh has previously served as Legislative Director for Senator Feinstein, handling issues ranging from tax, commerce, environmental regulations, energy, finance, trade and appropriations.  Prior to that Kadesh served as Chief of Staff to Representative Jane Harman (D-CA) and as a Legislative Assistant for Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan (D-NY).

He is a Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Brandeis University and received a Master's degree in public policy from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government.

He joins a strong team, which includes Rebecca Gradler, a recent addition to the firm. She has more than a decade of experience in public health care policy.  Gradler's work spans the legislative arena on Capitol Hill, the private sector as a pharmaceutical industry lobbyist, and the regulatory context where she worked for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

In Congress, Gradler worked for Senator Charles Grassley, then Chairman of the Senate Aging Committee, focusing primarily on Medicare Part B issues. She worked extensively with Senate Finance Committee members and staff to advance Chairman Grassley's agenda.

Gradler left Capitol Hill to lobby for PhRMA, the pharmaceutical industry's trade group, and most recently worked as an adviser to Thomas Scully, then Administrator of CMS.  Her primary responsibility was to advise the Administrator and the Director of the Office of Legislation on appropriations matters that affected the agency's programs.

Bartlett & Bendall is a non-partisan firm which focuses on results for each client.  They are dedicated to building long term relationships with clients and developing strategic plans to help achieve both short and long term goals.  Bartlett & Bendall works with clients to identify key policy issues and to represent their views before Congress, federal regulatory agencies and the Administration.
The firm was founded and is led by Doyle Bartlett, previously the Chief of Staff to Congressman Bill McCollum (R-FL) and Senior Vice President at the Smith-Free Group, and Jennifer Bendall, former Senior Vice President for Legislative Affairs at Vivendi and the RIAA as well as a key policy advisor for Senator Richard Shelby (R-AL).
